Hum Drum Glum

Blah. It's been just blah here in Norfolk since our return from Toronto. When we left Norfolk it was bright, sunny and hot! Now it's dark, chilly, cloudy, rainy and windy. It's been like this for the last three days and doesn't show any signs of letting up. Everything is damp. Every time you step out you get wet, and thus when you come back in you bring some wetness inside. Clothes aren't drying. Things are dripping. Blah.

The weather is making it difficult to get things done, but we are progressing none the less. Got some insurance finalized, dinghy inquiries, basic provisions, got L-brackets made for the table. Yesterday we had an electrician on board and got our wind indicator display properly hooked up into the cockpit. To run the wires we had to move all kinds of stuff around and so the boat got turned upside down again. But we got it done and I am very happy to report that we now have a working wind speed & direction indicator in the cockpit! I've been working / waiting on that for three years now! In the evenings when the gusts are blowing and heeling the boat over (even here at the dock!) I love looking to see the wind speed. The highest I saw was a gust of 37knots!! I'm really glad we're in here, safely tied up in a marina and I feel really bad for anyone out in the ocean.

We're getting cabin fever.
